Checking the contents for included cables, accessories, etc.
Check for a small booklet or Quick Start Guide included in the box. This booklet contains a list of contents included in the box with your Apogee, such as cables, adapters, and other accessories. Review this list and make sure all the contents are in the box. Register your Apogee Device & Download software (if needed)
Once you register your Apogee product, you will be provided with a direct link to software and drivers required for your Apogee product to function properly with your computer or mobile device.
If you qualify for a promotional offer such as free plugins or 3rd party software, full registration of your Apogee's serial number and uploading your purchase receipt is required to claim the offer.

Installation process and common hurdles
For USB devices such as the Apogee ONE, Duet, or Quartet, the installation process is very similar. Here's a video showing installation process for Duet, but is the same for these other USB devices:

Once your software is installed:
- For Symphony Desktop users, check for Touch Screen Control updates before connecting it to your computer: Video Guide
- For USB and Thunderbolt devices, it's time to connect it to your computer.
From here, each Apogee product had different features and controls unique to that device. For a full list of those features and how to use them, get the User's Guide owner's manual for your product. This will cover how to set up a Microphone or Instrument input, how to set it up in a few of the most popular audio recording programs, and explain how to monitor the input and output signals.
